Marc Strauss has been a sports anchor at WEEK since 1984.

Winner of the Associated Press award for Best Sports Report (2001), Marc was again recognized by the AP in 2007 (second-place) and 2003 (second-place). He also captured the Illinois Broadcasters Association award for Best Sportscast in 2000.

Marc's resume includes multiple Associated Press honors for Best Downstate Sports Coverage (3 times) as well as the IBA award for Best Play-By-Play (1991) for his work on WEEK's Rivermen Hockey telecasts.

Prior to joining News 25, Marc worked at WTSO Radio in Madison, Wisconsin, where he was the play-by-play voice of the University of Wisconsin Hockey team from 1981 through 1984, documenting the Badgers 1983 NCAA Championship on radio.

He got his start in broadcasting as a college student learning the ropes at KMOX Radio in St. Louis and also hosted a twice weekly high school sports show on KSD Radio.

Marc is a graduate of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri, where he served as the sports director of the university's radio station, KCLC.

Marc and his wife Wendy have two children.
