The lanes will be heating up once again on Saturday, March 19, when the annual Bowl-A-Thon to benefit Community Workshop & Training Center, Inc. (CWTC) heads to Landmark Recreation Center.

This will mark the 9th year CWTC consumers, family and community members come together for friendly competition to benefit a good cause. The registration fee of $20.00 includes three games and shoes. There also will be plenty of prizes for everyone.

“It truly is a great community event with a lot of community spirit,” said Gail Leiby, executive director of CWTC. “Our consumers enjoy bowling a great deal. During the Bowl-A-Thon, they are able to actively assist CWTC in raising funds to support the programs which they utilize.”

CWTC is a non-profit organization that has been serving adults with disabilities in central Illinois for more than 51 years. CWTC programming focuses on three areas: organizational employment, community employment and community living.

The Bowl-A-Thon runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19. Bowlers can register their team by visiting or by calling Mona Robinson at (309) 686-3300.
