WHAT: A live and silent auction featuring a keynote address from a Special Olympics Illinois Global Messenger. Dinner will be provided by the Marriott. All proceeds raised will benefit the nearly 1000 athletes in Special Olympics Illinois Heartland/Area 6.
WHO: Special Olympics Illinois Heartland/Area 6 is hosting the 4th annual Holiday Dinner and Auction to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.
WHEN: 6 p.m.-9 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011
COST: Tickets to the event are $40 per person or $320 for a table of 10.

WHY: Special Olympics Illinois is a not-for-profit organization offering year-round training and competition in 19 sports for nearly 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 4,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 with and without intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics changes lives by empowering people with intellectual disabilities to realize their full potential in sports and in life. Special Olympics programs enhance physical fitness, motor skills, self-confidence, social skills and encourage family and community support.
