Event Description
Woodford County – The Woodford County Citizens Against Substance Abuse (CASA) Youth Coalition will be holding a Prom Drive on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 9 am to12 pm at the Woodford County Health Department (1831 S. Main St. Eureka). The Coalition is requesting residents of Woodford County to donate lightly used dresses, suits, ties, dress shoes, handbags, and other formal wear or accessories. The collection for these items begins today and continues through February 24. Beyond finding a prom dress or suit, there will be a drawing for anyone who attends this event to win wonderful prizes generously donated by area merchants. All proceeds will benefit the CASA youth coalitions throughout the county.
The mission of the CASA Youth Coalition is “To unite community members for the purpose of preventing and reducing substance abuse in Woodford County” and “…envisions all schools joining together to reduce substance abuse in Woodford County”. All proceeds of the Prom Drive will directly benefit the CASA Youth Coalition in all six public high schools in Woodford County.
Several banks, libraries and churches throughout Woodford County have donation boxes to collect items. To view the complete list of these sites, visit our website at www.casawoodfordcounty.org
