On Monday, January 20th, 2014, at the Wehrenberg Galaxy 14 Cine at 1111 Wylie Drive in Bloomington, Beck Memorial Home is presenting the 2nd annual “Day of Dreams”, a tribute to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This free community ticketed event, presented by Beck Memorial Home and sponsored by the Black Business Alliance and WXRJ 94.9 FM Real Radio, will include live musical entertainment and tributes by community leaders, a showing of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech on the theater’s megascreen, and a special address by keynote speaker and former Miss America, Erika Harold. In addition, Beck Memorial Home will also offer the Day of Dreams drawing, where one event attendee will win a Day of Dreams in Bloomington-Normal that includes a $100 gift card to Swingers Grille, a $50 gift card to the Wehrenberg Galaxy 14 Cine, and $500 cash.
From 9:00 am until 10:00 am, all attendees will enjoy free coffee and doughnuts compliments of Denny’s Doughnuts and Bakery and Beck Memorial Home. At 10:00 am in the Wehrenberg Galaxy 14 Cine’s megascreen theater, the celebration will begin and last approximately 90 minutes. The Day of Dreams event will open its doors at 9:00 am to the 400 people who have received their free tickets from either Beck Memorial Home, WXRJ 94.9 FM Real Radio, or other community outlets. A ticket is required for admission.
