Singsations is now taking registrations for their performing ensemble classes for students ages 3 - 18. Singsations is an exciting, high quality music and dance program. Students will learn music and dance techniques performing songs in many styles; including pop, country, Broadway, jazz, contemporary Christian, gospel and Disney. Singsations ensembles have the unique opportunity to perform several times during the semester throughout the community. In addition to the exposure at the public performances, the ensembles perform their full length repertoire in concert in January. Peanut Singsations is offered for children ages 3 & 4; Dancing Divas ages 5 & 6; Just Guys grades K - 3rd grade; Jump Company 1st - 3rd grade; Spotlight Singers 4th - 6th grade; Dynamic Energy 6th - 8th grade; Elite Image 9th grade and up. Classes begin the week of Sept. 17 at Singsations new studio at 313 South Main Street in Morton. New this semester is our Just Guys class. This class is designed for boys grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade. No girls are allowed in this new class! Also, Singsations will be offering a 6 week class, Singsations Sampler, for students who are interested in getting a taste of Singsations in a shorter format. This new class will begin in October.

Singsations is dedicated to providing exceptional instruction in the performing arts. We strive to nurture the creative spirit of each child in an environment focused on promoting self-esteem, confidence, and expression through the artistic medium.

All Singsations ensembles and classes are taught by veteran teacher Dedra Schertz. Dedra has taught music and dance to students early childhood through college for the past 15 years. She frequently choreographs and teaches music workshops in the central Illinois and Chicagoland area. Dedra has a music degree from ISU and has studied music at University of Illinois as well as in Chicago. Dedra was last seen as the witch in Eastlight Theatre's production of Into the Woods.
