PEORIA, Ill. -- As the wheels on the bus go round and round, so does the hiring cycle at Peoria Public Schools.

In today’s Bright Side…District 150 is looking to hire about 40 new school bus drivers for the upcoming school year.

Today the district held a job fair and applicants had the opportunity to be interviewed on the spot.

Something one newly hired driver appreciates about the process.

“You don't have to wait, you know, wondering if you got the job or not. So I think it's a really great thing that they're doing,” said job applicant Nyreise Parkman.

If you didn't get a chance to apply in person today, District 150 is always hiring good drivers.

District 150’s Assistant Director of Transportation James Barrett says you simply need to contact them.

“We provide safe transportation to and from school for a precious commodity, which are students,” said Barrett. “So, we're always looking for good drivers to fulfill those needs.”
