PEORIA, Ill. -- The Peoria Park District is stocking shelves in the hope of re-opening their Book Court.

The Book Court used to be a part of the Lakeview Museum but now the discount book store is located at the Noble Center for Park Administration.

But before the store can open, the Park District could use some volunteers.

"This is a job you can sit down and do. You don't have to stand, you don't have to lift. Your basic function is to take money for books that people are purchasing,” said Book Court Manager Debbie Kinate.

Book, DVD and CD donations are always welcome.

If you would like be a volunteer, call Debbie Kinate at (309) 682-1200 ex. 1286.
