PEORIA, Ill. -- Students at Midstate College learned about local health and wellness on Tuesday at the 3rd Annual Campus Health Fair.

Groups from around the area set up shop in the student center to give information, demonstrations and tips on how to get involved.

Organizers said with all of the healthcare related degrees the college offers, this event is a great way for students to learn from real professionals in the healthcare field.

"It's something that has really just grew after having the blood drives here on campus and expanding on the healthcare fields we teach and train for the public," said Rhonda Urban, Director of Student Affairs. "It kind of gives them a chance to come in and talk to the different companies that are here."

Approximately 20 companies were at the health fair and organizers said dozens of students took advantage of the opportunity to learn.
