The chef from Johnny's is tossing steak into his salad.
And he says there's a secret to keeping the sirloin full of flavor.
Here's his recipe for the steak tribute salad:
*6 oz. sirloin cooked to desired temperature
*1 oz. montreal steak seasoning
*4 oz. mixed greens
*1 oz. blue cheese crumbles
*1 oz. diced tomatoes
*3 onion rings
tribute dressing--1/2 cup mayo, 1 tsp crushed red pepper, squeeze of lemon juice, 1/2 tsp dijon mustard & a little parsley
toss salad with dressing and trimmings while steak is searing. Once sirloin has a nice sear on both sides, remove it from heat and let it sit for 1 minute before cutting it and placing the slices on top of the salad.
