Serve this old-fashioned warm mulled cider for any autumn get-together to take the chill off when the mercury drops. Don't forget the cinnamon sticks for a classic presentation that's sure to be a favorite.
- 1/2 gallon apple cider
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 oranges, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 2 lemons, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients; mix well. Cover and simmer over low heat 30 minutes. Serve warm.
If you keep this in a slow cooker, it should stay nice and warm for hours.
