WEST PEORIA, Ill. -- St. Patrick's Day may be over, but that isn't stopping us from going Irish at Kenny's Westside Pub in West Peoria in this week's You Gotta Eat.

Kenny's West Side Pub off Farmington Road is celebrating it's one year anniversary.

The Pub and Eatery opened its doors last St. Patrick's Day.

Offering a unique take on traditional Irish and pub food.

"A lot of our stuff is hand made and made from scratch and that makes a big difference. We say made with love," said Sean Kenny, owner.

Owner Sean Kenny along with his friend Ryan Kramer came up with the menu.

It's a mix of sandwiches, soups, salads, and flat-breads with a twist.

One flat-bread called the Irish Potato Pizza is made with homemade dressing, corn beef, sauerkraut, and smashed up tater tots.

However the most popular item on the menu is the Tenderloin.

"I've never had a tenderloin that tasted like this. I keep coming back for it. It's the best tenderloin I've ever had in town," said Dan Dolan, customer.

I was almost convinced to go with the tenderloin, but was craving a burger so I went that direction instead.

To start my meal I ordered Westside Pretzels n' Cheese.

The deep fried pretzel bread is described on the menu as unique, delicious and addicting.

I would agree with all three.

Then on to my burger.

I ordered a half pounder with American cheese and bacon.

It also came with Tator Tots and cheese.

As I grabbed onto my burger and bit in, it too had a unique and very fresh flavor.

Sean and Ryan explained they pick up their meat just down the street at Raber Packing Company.

My bill came to $16 plus tip.

Kenny's West Side Pub is open from 11am to 2pm daily. They serve food until close and leave the kitchen open until 3am Wednesday through Saturday.
