These folks appear to be the brains of Ponte Vecchio moving on to other grounds. They opened in November and already are seeing big crowds. Amy told me she hired back much of the staff from PV1.
A newsroom colleague told me after I returned she has a friend who was seated on a busy night, then asked to leave because the hostess had given away a table for someone who had a reservation. This was not my experience, but then again, I have a camera in tow.
Most new restaurants have to work out the kinks before really being ready for an onslaught of customers. I hope these folks are ready for the new faces that will visit after our nice review. I would suggest simply telling a customer to try another time if they don't have the room.
