The Mix Sandwich Works is in the old KFC on Knoxville.
It is a brother to Super Gyro's in East Peoria. I belive the two owners are partners.
I loved seeing all the action in the kitchen. Fire and flame usually translates into hot food with flavor. It did at this joint.
The one customer from Chicago I talked with did not care for his sausage-combo sandwich. He called the sausage "sub-par" but said in the past he liked the Italian beef. I give the Italian beef an A-minus. Good, but nothing as perfect as a little deli under the sidewalk in downtown Chicago.
