PEORIA, Ill. -- If your diet is comprised of mainly processed foods, chances are you're consuming too much sodium.

Salt isn't entirely bad. Health experts say it's necessary for maintaining a proper fluid balance in the body.

Sandy Gallant headed over to Methodist Medical Center for a lesson on the pros and cons of sodium in this week's Get Fit Friday.
