The kids are still enjoying their summer break, but HOI 19 News and CEFCU are revisiting schools that received a $1,000 one class at a time grants from us during the past year.
We headed back to Limestone Community High School, where Ms. Picco got some money for her creative fashions class.
With the money she bought flannel fabric and patterns, so she could make sample pajama bottoms for her students.
She also bought new rotary cutters with a safety feature.
On the day we visited her students were showing off their handmade quilts for their annual quilt show.
Ms. Picco says, "We've also bought enough batting for quilts that are hanging around the room today. And we have enough batting for quilts for next year and that's quite an expense for the girls. And I think we'll have about 40 girls next year."
