Hoerr Nursery opens Saturday, March 1. Are old seeds still good? Take a damp paper towel, put some seeds inside for a week and see if you have some early germination. Old seeds (10 & 20 years old) may likely still be good to use. Old venetian blinds are also a great way to label your plants, and egg cartons are excellent seed flats to get your plants to start budding. Utilizing old food storage containers allow you to create a high-humidity environment for some early growth requirements, like wheat grass.
