Study: beer glasses may cause you to drink differently

BRISTOL, UK -- New research out of the United Kingdom suggests how quickly you drink beer could depend on the shape of your glass.

The British study determined people finished a beer twice as fast when drinking from a curved glass rather than one with straight edges.

Interestingly, there was no difference when the beverage was non-alcoholic.

Researchers believe curved glasses make it harder for drinkers to judge how much they have consumed.

This study was led by researchers at University of Bristol.
