PEORIA, Ill. -- A Bradley professor is getting a big financial boost to his Parkinson's disease research.

This month, Dr. Craig Cady received a check of $25,000 from a local group called the "Parkinson's FundRACERS", led by Pekin residents Val and Don Bohlander.

Dr. Cady's team is working on the creation of a material that will replace brain cells that have been damaged by Parkinson's.

The funds will go towards lab supplies, instruments and support for students, among other needs.
