PEORIA, Ill. – As part of National Bicycle Safety Month, The Children’s Hospital of Illinois is teaming up with ThinkFirst, an injury prevention foundation, to give away free bike helmets.

Kids and teens age 18 and under can get a free helmet at the Peoria Chief’s game on Thursday, May 15.

Injury is the leading cause of death and disability in children, teens and young adults. Most of those injuries are preventable.

The game starts at 6:30 p.m.
