Docs on Call: Heart Health

February 3, 2014 Updated Feb 3, 2014 at 7:04 PM CDT

February is designated as heart month and we're talking about your health, not your love.

It was about a year ago that then 55-year-old Kevin Zeeb was not feeling well. The central Illinois man ended up in the hospital with pneumonia.

Through testing, doctors also discovered he had an enlarged heart and that its rhythm was off.

Kevin required a pacemaker.

"It was a rather, from my prospective, easy procedure," he said. "When I came back into my room I could tell a remarkable difference immediately. My head was clear, and I was just so excited. I felt so much better, instantly."

Kevin said his heart condition does run in his family. His brother died at the age of 39.

You can get answers to your heart health questions from OSF doctors on tonight's Docs on Call.

The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and you can call 698-3742 at that time.
