A Tennessee mom had no idea posting a picture on Facebook would help diagnose a rare eye condition in her daughter.

Tara Taylor says some of her friends noticed a green glow in her daughter's left eye looked odd, and suggested she see a doctor.

A retinal specialist diagnosed her with Coats' Disease, a condition that causes vision loss or blindness in one eye.

Treatments have saved some of the vision in the girl's eye.

Her parents said they are grateful that their friends were looking closely.
