MUNDELEIN, Ill. -- A Chicago-area family is fighting to keep their son alive and you may be able to help.

Six-year-old Jack Fowler of Mundelein was diagnosed with Hunter's syndrome when he was 15-months old. It is causing him mental and physical damage.

There is a new drug in the experimental phase that has shown promise in children enrolled in the trial.

"Our expectation would be just to have the peace of knowing that we could go to bed at night and know that Jack's not dying,” said Jack’s mother, Jamie Fowler.

But the drug company said it will not allow Jack to take the drug citing a lack of safety data.

The Fowlers have lunched an online campaign called “Here's Jack” that you can get involved in.

They hope to pressure the company to change its mind.
