Lack of exercise responsible for obesity epidemic

Experts say it's not the food Americans eat that is triggering the obesity epidemic -- rather it's the lack of exercise.

A new study in the American Journal of Medicine looks at health survey data from the past 20 years.

Researchers find the number of calories consumed has not changed significantly -- but the number of men and women who report no physical activity has gone up roughly 30 percent.

During the same amount of time body weight has gone up significantly -- especially among young women.
