It might sound hard to believe but new research is showing a decline in children's exposure to violence.

Researchers from the University of New Hampshire analyzed telephone surveys from 2003 to 2011.

They found significant declines in several categories of violence exposure including bullying.

Researchers think one reason for the decline could be less face-to-face interaction and an increase use in electronic technology instead.
