PEORIA, Ill. -- A new study is finding a link between overweight women and ovarian cancer.

The study from the American Institute of Cancer Research included four million women.

Obese women had the greatest risk of ovarian cancer. Those who were overweight also had increased odds of developing the disease.

Researchers say this could be because fat cells secrete estrogen, leptin and other hormones that can fuel the growth of cancer cells.
