PEORIA, IL. -- Good friends, good fun and good health. Unity Point Health Methodist calls it "Girls Night Out."
It's a special evening among friends designed to make your annual mammogram something to look forward to, instead of something to dread.
The events are held once a month and include a mini-massage, appetizers, a decadent dessert and a beauty treatment. Then, without stress or anxiety, you're ready to have a mammogram, one of the most important cancer screenings available for women.
Eureka resident Lori Daughtery attended her first Girls Night Out in May. "I was with my friend. She saw it in thye paper and so she called me and texted me and said, hey, let's do this. We did it together. So, it was fun," Daughtery.
Other than the cost of the mammogram, Girls' Night Out is free.
The next one will be June 19th. Reserve your space by calling 309-671-8282 or by visiting http://www.mymethodist.net/services/breastcenter/girlsnightout/
