It's a bold wardrobe move for a Mapleton woman, and it's all in the name of raising money for breast cancer research. Cancer survivor Janice Dieckow of Mapleton is going pink for an entire year.
She's emptied her closets and left only Pink in honor of survivors, black for those who've lost there life to the disease, gray for those undergoing treatment now, white for hope and the light of her faith in God, and Gold and silver for the money needed to find a cure.
"I believe that one person can make a difference. I believe that you can inspire other people to make a difference. Throughout the year I will do different things like garage sales and silent auctions to raise money." said Dieckow.
Her goal is to raise $10,000 for the cause.
