LINCOLN, Ill. -- Jason Harris was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Thursday for his role in the slayings of five members of the Gee family of Beason, Illinois.

Jason Harris has been in custody since 2009, shortly after the killings of Rick and Ruth Gee and their children.

He will get a reduction in his sentence for the time he has already served.

Jason Harris received a lesser sentence than his brother, Christopher, after agreeing to testify for the prosecution.

Christopher Harris received a life sentence for the brutal beating deaths of the Gee family.
