Peoria Police say they received a call early Saturday morning about a white SUV that had reportedly drove off state street and into the river.

Police did find fresh car tracks.

Officers from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources responded with their boat and possibly located a submerged vehicle about 40 yards from the river bank in about 24 feet of water, but current river conditions are hindering recovery efforts.

Family members of Clarence Hanson say they're concerned it's his white SUV, but they say police can't give them any answers until Tuesday.

His cousins say they last saw Clarence Friday night.

Gwendolyn Pernell says, "We haven't seen him or heard from him. And this is not like him." Cousin Jonnie Smith agrees, "We just want to make sure that this is not our family member."
