Police investigate armed robberies at twin cities Circle K stores

NORMAL, Ill.-- Normal Police are looking for a suspect following an armed robbery on Saturday.

The suspect entered the Circle K store at 1606 N. Main street in normal at 2:15 am.

The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money.

Employees cooperated and the suspect fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is a black male between 5’7” and 6’0”, with black hair and a thin mustache with sideburns.

He is believed to be between 20 and 30 years old.

A similar incident happened at a Circle K in Bloomington earlier the same day.

Normal Police Chief Rick Bleichner said, "The description from ours is similar to the one that happened in Bloomington that evening however that's the reason we do the investigations to make sure if they are positively linked and that investigation is still going on right now."
