Artists compete to have work displayed at Capitol

PEORIA, Ill. --- Local students put their art skills to the test Saturday.

It was part of 18th District Congressman Aaron Schock's Congressional Art Show.

Students from 14 local schools submitted their best art work and the 10 finalists were chosen.

The winning piece will be displayed for one year inside the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington D.C.

This year's winner was Rebecca Zilkowski from Peoria Notre Dame High School.
