PEORIA, Ill. -- Nathan Leuthold's attorney is fighting to keep six hours of video from a police interview out of the courtroom.

Leuthold is accused of murdering his wife Denise inside her parents' home on Valentine's Day, 2014.

During a hearing Thursday, his attorney Hugh Toner claims Leuthold did not understand his rights during initial interviews and detectives refused to explain them.

The lead detective on the case Jason Lee was questioned.

The hearing continues Friday.
