PEORIA, Ill. -- Autopsy results released Sunday night shows Peoria's latest homicide victim died of a single gunshot wound to the chest.
This detail comes as police release the identity about the alleged shooter.
Police confirmed Sunday that 27 year-old Alex Ferguson is in custody, facing charges of first degree murder. His bond is set at $1 million cash.
Police arrested Ferguson Friday night at the scene on the 1800 block of West Butler Street. Ferguson is accused of shooting 23-year-old Dwight T. McCall Junior.
A neighbor says he heard the two arguing outside. That neighbor tells News 25/HOI-19 News that he saw someone shoot McCall and then kick him.
McCall was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Ferguson is due in court Monday.
