CARLOCK, Ill. - The McLean County Coroner says a 61-year-old man who was involved in a single vehicle crash on Tuesday evening died of a fatal cardiac arrhythmia.

The crash happened just after 5 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate-74 near Carlock.

The victim has been identified as Michael L. Brenenstall of Bloomington.

Police said Brenenstall's pickup truck was traveling east when it crossed the median and both westbound lanes of traffic before coming to rest near mile marker 119.

Brenenstall was taken to a Bloomington hospital where he died a short time later.

An autopsy performed Wednesday showed Brenenstall suffered from valvular heart disease which caused a fatal cardiac arrhythmia.

He did not suffer any injuries in the crash.
