BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- A Bloomington mother has been indicted on murder charges in connection to the death of her 3-year-old son.

Danielle Fisher, 22, was arrested in April on charges of Child Endangerment. On Wednesday, a McLean County Grand Jury indicted Fisher on two counts of murder.

One of the counts alleges that Fisher failed to take her son to the hospital. The second alleges that she knowingly left her son, 3-year-old Robert W. Cramer, in the care of Nicholas Compton, 23, of Colfax.

Colfax was arrested in late March and has been charged with murder and aggravated domestic battery.

Cramer died in March. Autopsy results showed that the child was struck in his abdomen with such force it caused an internal laceration.
