PEORIA Ill -- Saturday, drivers can expect major delays according to Bradley University officials.

At 7 am, several roads surrounding Bradley's campus will be closed, including parts of Elmwood, St. James, Duryea, and Institute.

Traffic is expected to be busiest between 8 am and 2 pm.

Officials said the biggest delays will be on University Street between I-74 and Main street.

University Police will be directing traffic from University Street onto Bradley Avenue.

Bradley Avenue will serve as a one-way for students to unload at their residence hall.

"The fraternities and sororities will actually be stationed outside the residence halls and help unload for the parents and the students," said Bradley spokesperson, Renee Charles. "We want to get them unloaded and get them to park their cars so traffic keeps on moving."

"We'll come and help them get all of their rooms set up," said Pi Kappa Alpha member, Josh Galus. "We'll get everything out of the car. It kind of helps get that angst away from the families, so they can do their thing and not worry about lifting and moving."

Officials hope that traffic will return to normal by 3 pm.
