PEORIA, Ill -- The 2014 Winter Olympics games were memorable for many of us--but they were particularly special for one group.
18 Bradley University students got to be interns with NBC for the games. 12 traveled to NBC headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. The other six spent a month in Sochi, Russia.
"I actually got to help select highlights for the videos that they would put online for various events," said Kelly O'Brien, who interned in Stamford. "I wasn't expecting such responsibility, but they really trusted us."
"The moment that I won't forget, I was at the Canada-US game, third row, and Patrick Kane flipped me a puck," said Jake Hermann, who made the trip to Sochi. "That was probably the best thing that happened to me. That was awesome."
Bradley is one of just five schools that NBC works with to find interns for the Olympics.
