PEORIA, Ill. -- The District 150 school board will be asked to approve the fiscal year 2014 budget, which has a projected deficit of nearly $6 million.
Monday's meeting starts a 6 p.m. at the administration building. A budget hearing is set to follow at 7 p.m.
Interim Treasurer David Kinney has said the district anticipates entering the fiscal year with about $50 million in fund balances.
Because of that, he said the deficit challenge is one the district can live with for one year.
The school board is also set to vote on selling Peoria Alternative School and a $20,000 settlement agreement between District 150 and Peoria Heights District 325 regarding property tax revenues.
