BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- There is a foundation in this country that understands there is hunger in America and it is doing something about it.
Home Sweet Home Ministries in Bloomington is taking part in the The Feinstein Foundation One Million Dollar Challenge.
The agency needs your help.
By donating canned goods or money to the group in March or April, they in turn could feed more people.
"Over 300 agencies that apply for these funds. More funds and more food that they bring in the higher the of that million dollars they'll receive," said Mary Ann Tullin, CEO, Home Sweet Home Ministries.
There is also a high school challenge this year with the school collecting the most canned food nationwide winning cash prizes.
You can donate online by going to hshministries.org
or dropping Home Sweet Home Ministries at 303 E. Oakland Avenue in Bloomington.
