CHICAGO, Ill. -- Illinois Powerbroker William Cellini was sent to Federal prison Thursday for one year... and a day.
Cellini had been found guilty in November of last year of shaking down a Hollywoood producer for a million dollar contribution to then-Governor Rod Blagojevich.
Cellini's lawyers had argued for probation, citing Cellini's age -- he's 78 -- and his medical problems.
Judge James Zagle said Cellini had made "very unwise" decisions.
Cellini won't have to report to prison until January 4 of next year.
