PEORIA, Ill -- Controversial comments made during Monday's District 150 school board meeting are still making waves.

Members of the 'Change 150' group have been attending school board meetings over the past few months, hoping for what they call more open lines of communication.

A member of the community,Pastor Harvey Burnett, fired back Monday, defending the school board. Burnett said Change 150 is, "publicly lynching a black woman." referring to the group's treatment of District 150 Superintendent Grenita Lathan.

Change 150 has scheduled a news conference to address the happenings at Monday night's meeting. It will take place 4 pm Friday at the Peoria Public Library North Branch.
