A 23 year old rural Chenoa man has pleaded "not guilty" to murder charges in McLean County.

David Gharrett faces six counts of murder in connection with the death of three year old Destiny Cox, the daughter of his girlfriend Candace Ethridge.

Prosecutors say Gharrett admitted throwing the child in a bathtub after she vomited. The child died at OSF St. Francis Medical Center as a result of her injuries...described by Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll as blunt force trauma.
