MORTON, Ill.-- Hundreds of people gathered in to celebrate the baptisms of their church members.

People young and old were baptized in Ossami Lake during Elevate Church's annual DunkFest.

More than 100 members were 'dunked' as friends and family cheered them on.

Leadership team member Kipp Bolt says this is a fun way for the church to celebrate members joining God's team.

Bolt said, "As we like to say putting on a jersey for Jesus and going public with your faith so that's what our baptisms are. It's an opportunity for those who have accepted Jesus into their life to go public with their faith and get baptized."
