PEORIA, Ill. -- It appears the show may go on once again at the Madison Theater.

The City of Peoria has received two informal proposals to renovate the building on Main Street.

City officials say that would most likely include construction of a new building on an adjacent parking lot.

The theater, which is on the national register of historic places, has been closed for about 12 years.
