PEORIA, Ill. -- A Peoria County Courthouse employee was charged today with two felony counts of obstruction of justice and one count of aiding a fugitive.
Kimberly McNeil, who works in the Circuit Clerk's office, is the mother of Michael and Marquis Costic.
Both men were arrested for the April 2013 murder of Treyshawn Blakely, 17.
According to court documents, McNeil is accused of hiding the murder weapon, believed to be an AR-15 rifle, by throwing it into the Illinois River.
In addition, she is accused of helping Michael Costic evade arrest by helping him get to Missouri after Blakely's killing.
Her bond was set at $50,000. She faces up to 6 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
