PEORIA, Ill. -- An attorney for District 150 said the Peoria school system is still willing to come to an out-of-court agreement with Dunlap School District 323.

District 150 has sued the Dunlap District over six years of property tax receipts which were sent to Dunlap rather than the Peoria district. The amount comes to about $125,000.

According to James Levey of the legal firm of Hodges, Loizzi, Eisenhammer, Rodick & Kohn, the Peoria school district would rather not spend taxpayer money litigating the case if Dunlap would agreed to return any mis-allocated money.
