PEORIA, Ill. -- PEORIA, Ill. -- A federal grand jury indicted a District 150 teacher on Thursday for enticing a minor.

The indictment states that from August 4, 2012, to January 31, 2013, Amanda Ludwig, 28, used a cell phone to entice a minor, under the age of 18, to engage in sexual activity.

Ludwig was arrested on February 1 for allegedly enticing and having sexual relations with a Manual High School student.

It has been previously reported that Ludwig was the 15-year-old's art teacher at Manual.

Ludwig allegedly sent texts to the minor that were sexual in nature, which led to them engaging in sexual intercourse in her classroom in January.

She has been under house arrest since February 11.

If convicted, Ludwig could face 10 years to life in prison.
