EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- An organization whose mission it is to help woman dress properly for the work force, celebrated 13 years of that success on Friday.
Dress for Success Peoria started in 2000, with the goal of giving women the clothes they needed to look their best at a job interview.
Now, 13 years later, the organization showed off some of its success stories Friday with a luncheon.
Congressman Aaron Schock was the guest speaker.
He said an organization like this is important in keeping America's workforce strong.
"If we want a vibrant economy, a growing economy. We need to have women engaged in the workforce and Dress for Success provided those tools to women who have the dream and the motivation," said U.S. Rep. Aaron Schock, (R).
