PEORIA, Ill. -- A drug deal in the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center employee parking lot turned into a robbery Sunday afternoon.

The 19-year-old victim, who is said to be an OSF Saint Francis employee, told police that he was meeting someone in the parking deck around 4:45 p.m. Sunday to buy drugs.

When the suspect arrived, he climbed into the front passenger seat of the victim's vehicle, punched him in the stomach and stole from him.

Police are not disclosing what was taken from the victim.

Initially, the victim told police he was meeting a friend he hadn't seen for a while. But when police questioned the victim about why they were meeting in a parking deck, the victim admitted that he was trying to buy marijuana.

The white male suspect, who is known to the victim, arrived with two additional white males and another black male or female, according to police reports.

Police tried to contact the suspect by phone, but he did not answer.

The victim told police that he was not injured and that he would not press charges if what was stolen was returned to him.

OSF Saint Francis Medical Center told police that they have video footage of the incident, which they will give police to review.
